The objective of this project is to support the Royal Government of Cambodia’s Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training to implement the Sub-decree 108: On Education of HIV/AIDS, Safe Migration and Labour Rights for Cambodian Workers Abroad. This project will contribute to the development of safe migration and HIV/AIDS training modules for pre-departure orientation delivered to prospective migrants in order to reduce their vulnerabilities associated with migration, and will provide logistical support for the facilitation of such training. Project activities will result in the production of a Safe Migration Education Module for migrant workers and strengthening existing HIV and AIDS information, education and communications tools. It is envisaged that the proposed activities will also contribute to strengthening multi-departmental and inter-ministerial cooperation.
The project budget is USD 49,983.
