1035 Facility will provide co-funding (USD 36,918) to the EC project ‘Operational Networking and Exchange of Best Practices in Fighting Trafficking between Counter-Trafficking Specialists in EU Candidate and Neighboring Countries and Specialists in the EU MS’ which has a budget of €556,457. With this co-funding, workshops will be organized to exchange best practices with EU Member States on the identification, assistance and protection of victims of trafficking (VoT). There will be specific focus on the participating countries’ experiences related to the reflection periods for identified VoTs, the issuance of Temporary Residence Permits for VoTs who accept to cooperate with the criminal justice system, the national coordination mechanisms and the practical utilisation of indicators in fighting trafficking.
