Coordination and Documentation Center - Cambodia

The project aims to strengthen the capacity of the government of Cambodia to address the problem of trafficking and ensure the sustainable return and reintegration of trafficked women and children to and from Cambodia.

The project aims:
- To strengthen the Coordination and Documentation Center (CDC) in its roles of:
1. Family tracing and assessment
2. Reintegration and long term placement
3. Repatriation of Vietnamese victims of trafficking
4. Maintaining the database and reporting
5. To establish a normative structure for the return and reintegration of trafficked women and children
6. To enhance the understanding of trafficking to and from Cambodia and provide an information base for policy development

While working to build the capacity and skills of the CDC staff, the project will also focus on encouraging the creation of a recognized office within the Ministry that would allow the staff to be employed on a full-time basis within the CDC. This important step will ensure that the Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation (MOSVY) will be able to run the CDC independently of IOM technical and financial support upon completion of the project.
