Strengthening the Involvement of the Cameroonian Diaspora in France/Belgium at the Level of Health Services and Higher Education

The aim of this project is to increase the involvement of the Cameroonian Diaspora in France/Belgium to provide support to the development of Cameroon, particularly with regard to the government's priorities in health and higher education. Concrete actions will be set up through this project for the participation of men and women of the Cameroonian diaspora on capacity building in health in areas identified as priorities by the Ministry of Health (MINSANTE).This will be done with the assistance of target partners. Furthermore, other project activities will include sharing best practices in human development through education.

With the aim of contributing to the government’s efforts, through the “Directorate of Cameroonians Abroad” within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a database of skills, profiles and areas of expertise of Cameroonians exercising in target areas will be developed. The profiles identified will be involved in capacity building in the domains of health and education. The implementation of this project will allow in the short, medium and long term to set forth the capacity of the diaspora to contribute, strengthen the dialogue and to reinforce the areas of involvement of the Cameroonian Diaspora in the country.
