The overall objective of the “Strengthening Evidence-Based Management of Labour Migration in Armenia” (SEBMLM) project is to enhance management of the labour migration flows from Armenia to EU (European Union) countries. The project's specific objectives include, inter alia, raising awareness towards possible approximation of legislation on migration management with EU acquis . One of the project’s four components, Component D “Raising awareness towards possible approximation of legislation on migration management with EU acquis” is striving to address this purpose through various activities, including a training programme in readmission, and production of Armenian versions of IOM publications: “Laws for Legal Immigration in the 27 EU Member States. Comparative study of the laws in the 27 EU member states for legal immigration including an Assessment of the Conditions and Formalities imposed by each Member State for Newcomers” (2009) and “International Migration law. Glossary on Migration” (2011). As a result of the aroject: (a) fifteen government officials will be trained in Readmission; (b) Armenian version of the Comparative study “Laws for Legal Immigration in the 27 EU Member States” will be produced, published and disseminated and (d) Armenian version of the “IML Glossary on Migration” will be produced, published and disseminated.
