The EC AENEAS funded project includes an information campaign in India in order to promote legal migration and highlight the risks of illegal migration to the EU. The information campaign is to be based on the results of the Knowledge, Attitudes and Practice (KAP) survey. In India, a KAP survey was conducted in the States of Kerala and Punjab to identify the information gaps and the best medium of communication to address these gaps. Initial results of the KAP survey have identified television as the best medium for an awareness campaign in both the States of Kerala and Punjab. Based on these finding a television awareness campaign will be conceptualized and implemented as part of this project. A short television commercial will be produced and funding will be utilized for the airing of the TV commercial.
The use of 1035 Facility funding will address some of the 20% co-funding required under this EC initiative.
