The project aims:
-To identify, systematize and analyze existing information available on human trafficking for labor exploitation in the Central American countries;
-To address existing knowledge gaps in this field and produce a clear overview on possible cases, structures, characteristics, dynamics and routes of trafficking in human beings for labor exploitation in Central America;
-To detect specific needs of victims of human trafficking for labor exploitation in the target countries;
-To understand and address human trafficking in its broader context of labor and migration law and policies; and
-To make recommendations to relevant governmental and non-governmental organizations in the Central American countries on how to better address the problem and its victims through effective policies and programmatic responses.
