In Cameroon, one of the main challenges faced by policy makers and academic institutions in relation to migration is the general lack of research on the migration-development link and the poor quality of the existing data. The Observatory on African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) Migration will carry out a study on the impact of South-South migration on development in Cameroon. To support the general data collection and analysis of information on migration and development, a household survey and interviews of stakeholders, on several aspects of the migration and development nexus, will be conducted to collect first hand data which will serve as a basis for the country report. Training sessions will be organized to enhance capacities of the research team on the survey methodology. These outcomes aim to reinforce the capacities of the Government of Cameroon to develop its migration and development policy further.
