Labour Migration
Multi-Regional
Completed
The project aims at improving existing capacities of countries of origin, transit and destination to manage labour migration for the mutual benefit of the countries and societies concerned, including migrant workers and their families. The present project is an expansion of the current initiative “Training Module on Labour Migration Management” developed by IOM and OSCE for the Western Mediterranean, the Balkans and the CIS countries.
The training manual will be adapted to English, French, Spanish and Arabic speaking regions in Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America and the Arab World respectively by incorporating concrete examples from each region and country specific case studies. During the course of this project a series of “Test Trainings” (TT) and “Training of Trainers” (ToT) will be carried out in order to test/review the modules and receive valuable feedback from participants, including academics, experts and practitioners on labour migration from governments and social actors such as recruitment agencies, workers’ and employers’ organizations involved in different stages of the labour migration cycle.
