The Project seeks to contribute to enhancing the capacity of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran to improve it’s migration management system. The project activities will include the development of a pre-departure program, a labour attaché training and the organization of a workshop on labour migration for the Ministry of Labour and Social affairs and private agencies.
The initial phase of project will include conducting a need assessment to identify scope of the pre-departure orientation-training programme and tailor-made trainings delivered to labour attachés. In order to plan and develop a new national module, existing training modules and materials for this purpose will be compiled and reviewed. As such, and in reference to particular needs of the target group, a new orientation / training programme will be developed, shared and finalized through a workshop. Subsequently IOM Tehran will recruit well qualified nationals preferably with working experience abroad who will then receive extensive training in orientation modules and teaching methodologies best suited for adult learners. A qualified Trainer of Trainers (ToT) will supervise and direct an ongoing programme of trainers’ development. Physical facilities will be ensured for delivering the training on a regular basis.
