This project aims to support two governments in North West Africa, in order to enhance their respective capacity to combat irregular migration and to manage migration at their borders.
To achieve this, the project aims to implement two activities conducted respectively in Ghana and in Mali. The two different components will involve:
• An assessment of the migration management process and practices of Mali, including a needs assessment of identified key border posts in the country, in order to determine possible area of intervention; and
• A specialized training held for 10 Immigration officers from the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS), on passport verification procedures.
