Health Promotion and Assist for Migrants
National
Completed
The aims of this project were to perform a baseline assessment to document risk factors and conditions for HIV/AIDS and to address needs of HIV-affected migrants returning to Algeria. It has addressed AIDS prevention among migrants in risk zones as they transit to Algeria. The project was developed in collaboration with the Algerian Minister for Health and Population and was carried out by an international team which helped establish links between origin, transit and destination countries, namely Algeria, Western African and European countries.
This contribution has served as IOM co-funding in addition to already committed French funding and EU funding.
