The objective of this project is to set the basis for the development of a regional initiative to channel resources for community empowerment and poverty reduction amongst poor and vulnerable female-headed households in the Caribbean. Project outputs include (a) The prioritization of key interventions required to improve the livelihoods of targeted women, (b) Collective business plans to increase the income of poor and vulnerable women heads of households in prioritized sectors, (c) Design of a research plan to map the barriers preventing the participation of the diasporas and the private sector in initiatives geared at strengthening the livelihoods of poor and vulnerable communities, (d) Develop agreements involving stakeholders into the cooperation platform for the improvement of livelihoods of poor and vulnerable female-headed households.
