IOM will assist the Government of the Republic of Zambia (GRZ) to build institutional capacity to engage with the Zambian diaspora through the establishment of an Office of Diaspora Affairs (ODA), with a mandate to mobilize and cooridnate diaspora involvement in Zambia’s national development program. Under this project, the Office of Diaspora Affairs will be responsible for diaspora policy development and coordination, and ultimately, coordinating the transfer of skills and financial resources of Zambians in the diaspora for the development of their country.
