The aim of this project is to strengthen the capacity of the Government of Belarus (GoB) and CIS countries eligible to 1035 Facility funding, to combat the phenomenon of trafficking in human beings, by means of establishing a specialized centre for counter trafficking specialists from law enforcement agencies. During the project implementation period, three training courses with be provided for law enforcement representatives from the 11 CIS countries at the ‘International Training Centre on Migration and Combating Trafficking in Human Beings’ in Belarus.
At present the Centre is ready to provide two comprehensive training courses: 1) “Social and psychological assistance to victims of trafficking (VoTs)” (for representatives of governmental bodies and non-governmental organizations); 2) “Combating THB: system analysis, international cooperation and development of law-enforcement best practice” (for law-enforcement representatives). One more course will be developed during the implementation of training courses, based on case-country assessments and needs.
