The project aims at institutionalizing a migration training system in Georgia by the establishment of a structured set of trainings to be utilized in ministries and departments that have responsibilities in migration management. This project seeks to take stock of all previous capacity building activities implemented in Georgia by IOM and other actors and unite effective training approaches into a comprehensive and systematic approach to training on migration management for IOM’s key counterparts and interlocutors in the government and civil society. The training modules are expected to comprise as a minimum the following issues: migration legislation, migration and security, return, readmission and reintegration, migration and development, labour migration, smuggling of migrants and trafficking in persons, statistics and data protection.
