The objective of this project is to create a network of stakeholders in Liberia able to provide protection and assistance to victims of trafficking, including identification, AVRR, monitoring and follow-up. In the framework of the proposed 12-month project, IOM will assist the Ministry of Labour and the National Anti Human Trafficking Taskforce of Liberia to develop and implement a National Referral Mechanism for the protection of victims of trafficking. IOM will also set up a pilot Return and Reintegration Fund, allowing for the provision of assistance to victims according to the procedures outlined in the National Referral Mechanism.

Through targeted training, IOM will further build the capacity of stakeholders, including law enforcement, NGO service providers, and religious leaders throughout Liberia to identify victims of trafficking and implement the National Referral Mechanism.
