This pilot project will pave the way for a more effective implementation of future capacity building projects within the Ministry of Immigrant Affairs (MIA) including the Integrated Migration Information System (IMIS-Yemen) initiative. This intervention aims to train MIA human resources in three main areas of expertise required for proposed future capacity building initiatives: English Language, IT functions and communication strategy with Yemeni diaspora. The project will last 12 months and will also involve a study tour to Morocco to facilitate information sharing and learning on best practices on diaspora partnership. The project will avail itself of the expertise developed by IOM in similar capacity building projects and build on existing government human and technical resources.
