This pilot project is part of the Migration for Development in Africa (MIDA)- programme and constitutes a preliminary phase for the implementation of further activities within this framework in Burkina Faso. With a view to supporting the Government of Burkina Faso in involving migrants more effectively in the development process of their country of origin, the project aims to create a database on human and other resources available in the diaspora and to identify priority needs and human resource gaps in Burkina Faso. A website will be established to allow for the dissemination and exchange of pertinent information and for the collection of further data.
