This project complements an existing DIPECHO project that aims to minimize forced migration as a result of natural disaster through capacity building of local communities to undertake related risk assessments. This project specifically focuses on the capacity building efforts for the Civil Defense System operating in the region. Through training in geospatial data production and information analysis and exchange tools, the project will enable the local and regional authorities to better assess risk and plan accordingly. Further, the information exchange tools provided will support prevention measures to minimize forced migration through enhanced coordination channels.
