This project is aimed at generating evidence on health status, healthcare access and health seeking behaviours of vulnerable migrant populations in Georgia with the overall goal of monitoring and protecting the health of migrant populations in the country. The project is based on two pillars of strategic action which include: 1) a comprehensive survey on health care access, health seeking behaviours as well as risk factors for non-communicable diseases (NCDs) among returned / returning migrants, foreign migrants, victims of trafficking and internal forced migrants in Georgia; 2) dissemination of generated findings and recommendations among respective government structures and stakeholders for follow up action on migrant friendly health care delivery and NCDs control measures. The generated evidence will be used to recommend multisectoral approaches towards migrant health protection.
