Strengthening of National Capacities for Migration Management and its link to the Development of Uruguay

The objective of this project is to contribute to the promotion of national capacities to manage migration in line with the national development plans of Uruguay. This project has three components:

The first includes a pilot project which will integrate migration issues into select regional development plans, in coordination with national level initiatives. The second component includes technical support to territorial planning associated with large scale investments through analysis of the impact of resulting internal population movements. The third and final element will include the development of technical inputs which will form the basis of future revision of Uruguay´s Immigration Policy.
