The overall objective of this project is to enhance the capacities of the GoN, civil society and private sector actors in the provision of rehabilitation services to victims of trafficking as well potential victims of trafficking.
The project will:
• Provide sustainable livelihood opportunities to 100 potential victims and survivors of trafficking (both sexual and labour) through psychosocial counselling, skill trainings and creation of viable employment opportunities or enterprise establishment;
• Involve government, corporate sectors, training institutions, financial organizations and NGOs to be active partners in the provision of sustainable economic opportunities to communities vulnerable to trafficking;
• Build the capacity of NGOs/CBOs to implement and replicate the economic rehabilitation module, including the aspects of handling of savings and credit activities; and,
• Facilitate the development of the GoN’s National Scheme on Return and Rehabilitation of trafficking survivors and rehabilitation fund for survivors.
