IOM aims to develop a Training Course on International Migration Law for government officials of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The course will provide an overview of International Migration Law, and focus on the specific migration issues of the Western Balkans, such as irregular transit migration, labour migrants, trafficking and smuggling in human beings, and migration and security.
To that effect, IOM will conduct a four days course in BiH. The course will be offered to officials of the various government ministries formulating migration law and policy as well as those responsible for its implementation. The project will promote the development of migration law and its application in accordance with international law, and encourage dialogue and cooperation between government ministries and departments.
