The proposed Workshop on Migration and Human Rights is to be held in Honduras in the framework of the Regional Conference on Migration (RCM) and will provide inputs for capacity building and strengthening in the field of human rights of migrants, and will target governmental authorities and organizations in RCM Member States.
The workshop intends to generate an exchange of ideas, successful experiences and best practices as well as eventual joint actions to be developed in the framework of the RCM. Twenty-seven participants from the RCM Member States are expected to take part in this workshop and a publication to include presentations and synthesis of main aspects covered during the workshop will also be produced.
The project budget will include the USD 60,000 requested from the 1035 Facility as well as funding provided by the Government of Honduras, the RCM and the Regional Network of Civil Organizations on Migration (RROCM).
